Karns Community Club
The "Event Center (CC) on Oak Ridge Highway" (affectionally referred to by Karns natives as the Community Center (CC) or Old Library for its original purposes) is a remodeled and rejuvenated multi-functional building that can accommodate about any event at any time of the day. It is commonly used for family reunions club meetings, business meetings, birthday parties, wedding parties, baby showers, weddings, and memorial services. The rental includes a kitchen with a stovetop/oven, refrigerator, microwave, and double sink. Supplies included with each rental include 4, 32-gallon Trash Bags; 2, 13-gallon Trash Bags; and Hand Wash Soap for each bathroom. A commercial sized ice machine, 12-8' tables, 4-6' tables, and 80 chairs are also provided as part of the rental. There are separate women's and men's rest rooms. A Community tennis court lies next to the building. There is also a short walking trail that begins on the property. The facility is served by its own parking area. The facility is located at 7708 Oak Ridge Highway, Knoxville TN 37931 or just east of the stoplight at the intersection of Oak Ridge Highway and Byington Beaver Ridge Road or what is commonly referred to as Downtown Karns.
